Excel PLCs

PLC can stand for more than “Public Liability Company”, you know…

In the data cabling market, it can stand for “Planar Lightwave Circuit”. These little beauties are creating not just light waves, but also large waves in our industry as they are a key component within a PON or POL deployment.

Taking up very little space and needing no power to perform, their amazing functions - the PLC splitters - sit quietly and discreetly in the fabric of your building “routing” a single core of light within a fibre from the core to many remote end-points!

Using PLCs within a PON design can literally change your network. Due to their routing function they can remove the need for remote / secondary communications rooms, allowing end users to utilise real-estate for more revenue-generating activities… and that can't be bad.

Now, I want to let you know that Excel PLCs meet GR-1209-CORE and GR-1221-CORE requirements, so you know they'll work in various environmental conditions.

Where do I see this being a winner?... Student accommodation for a start. One tiny fibre cable to each room, no need for equipment cabinets or rooms taking up space on floors were student rooms could be, super-fast data speeds for the data-hungry generation with security built-in by design.

PLCs are the future technology for future generations.
